Stay at The Fiddler's Roost and experience small town life on historic Front Street overlooking the North Fork of the Blackwater River. Hike, bike or ski the rail trail from the Allegheny Highland trailhead directly across the road. There you can still see historic coke ovens, historic stone culverts, and spectacular waterfalls.

The Fiddler's Roost Guest House is located in a turn-of-the-century coal company duplex that has been tastefully renovated for your comfort. The building, which is right next door to the Purple Fiddle and facing the beautiful riverfront in downtown Thomas, features eight private rooms, each with its own unique personality. There are also five bathrooms (no private baths), a living and dining space, as well as a community kitchenette. There is a phone for your convenience, and every room is provided with a VCR and television on which you can watch any number of a wide selection of movies provided in our living room library.

After your adventuring, stop in at The Purple Fiddle Coffeehouse for wholesome food and drink to rejuvenate; after all, The Purple Fiddle was voted "Best Post-Trail Hangout" by Blue Ridge Outdoors magazine and as you might have heard, we boast the biggest and finest beer selection n West Virginia. If you are lucky, you will be able to catch one of the live bands during your stay, and understand what makes it all so magic...
